PROVEN ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Multi-tasking of 6 construction administration projects including a 35-acre recreational development for the YMCA, Pima County Parks and Recs, and Pima Community College. During company downsizing worked effectively with owners and contractors to maintain building schedules while communicating, coordinating, attending, orchestrating meetings, writing minutes while responding to field issues with expedient solutions. Result: Projects completed within budget restraints. Letter of recommendation by firm’s Principal.
Coordinated project documents containing Owners' adds/changes with General Contractor's Value Engineering impacts. Advised on items and compiled dynamic reporting to track pros, cons and rejects while providing a cost analyses leading to the final expense conclusion. Result: Changes of $100,000 were offset by $80,000 in Value Engineering savings.
Developed Design drawings, details, and systems during a fast-paced expedited building schedule. Coordinated owner’s and officials’ needs with job superintendent and subcontractors impacting materials, fabrication and construction time. Advised on owner decisions without impacting time, money and schedule. Result: The first of nine buildings was ready for Grand Opening as scheduled. The builder was awarded $800,000 in change orders after three completed buildings.
Presented a school bus design project at highly publicized / controversial neighborhood meeting. The members were resistant and conflicted. Result: Convinced the members to accept the environmentally / neighborhood friendly responsive design. The presentation was broadcast on the evening news.
Achieved improved efficiency rates for manufacturing processes by analyzing procedures to eliminate and combine system processes to increase profits by saving time. Result: Increased efficiency from 85% to 120% resulting in higher profits. Instructed co-workers to new system procedures.
Effectively managed construction with project superintendants on a 400-room remodel of Ventana Canyon. Coordinated Interior design with facility staff and recommended solutions of materials and systems to improve maintenance. Result: Rooms completed for large convention. A letter of commendation is posted at the contractor’s office for the collaboration.
